100 years since the end of the First World War, the Wiener Philharmoniker and an all-star line-up join forces in Versailles, where the peace treaty was signed in 1919. Performing works by composers from countries who would have been at war with one another at the time, the concert is a moving display of international musicians and audiences coming together to listen and cooperate, evoking a sense of a society at peace. To commemorate the occasion, Chinese pianist and top-class vocal soloists join conductor Franz Welser-Möst on stage to perform a musical journey of war and peace from Mozart to Holst and Ravel and to Ives.
