In a recital from the Amphithéâtre Olivier Messiaen in the Opéra Bastille, tenor Benjamin Bernheim presents repertoire from his album "Boulevard des Italiens", released by Deutsche Grammophon in 2022. With Félix Ramos at the piano, the French tenor performs arias from Massenet's Manon and Verdi's Don Carlos alongside the French versions of arias from Puccini's Tosca and Madama Butterfly. The programme is completed by extracts from rarely heard French operas by Cherubini and Mascagni. The concert is interspersed with interviews with Bernheim to give additional fascinating insights into the concept behind "Boulevard des Italians".
