Crimea-born saxophonist Asya Fateyeva joins the Rising Stars series on STAGE+ with a varied programme showcasing the depth of her talent and the voraciousness of her musical appetite. Accompanied throughout by Luise Enzian on Baroque harp, she plays arrangements of music ranging from the German and Italian Baroque to the present day with Lana del Rey's "Hope Is a Dangerous Thing for a Woman Like Me to Have". The result is a compelling showcase both of the saxophone as an instrument and of Fateyeva as one of the most exciting and versatile players of it before the public today.
