David Garrett - ICONIC

For this open-air concert in Sicily, violinist David Garrett chose an especially spectacular location: the ancient theatre of Taormina, situated in the shadow of Mount Etna. Showcasing the repertoire from his ICONIC Album, in which he reasserted his link to his classical roots, he performs music by Vivaldi, Schumann, Saint-Saëns, Kreisler and many other composers, all freshly arranged. The violinist is accompanied by his guitarist and arranger Franck van der Heijden, bassist Rogier van Wegberg and the Orchestra del Teatro Vittorio Emanuele di Messina under the direction of Gianna Fratta. And watch out for a special guest appearance by Matteo Bocelli!
