Through the Eyes of Yuja

With a top-flight career that involves giving 120 performances a year, Beijing-born pianist Yuja Wang sees her role as that of an intermediary, conveying music to audiences, while being constantly on the go herself. She crosses oceans, from one world-renowned venue and major city to another, from concerto appearance to recitals. Yet the glitz and the glamour and collaborations with the classical world's leading artists is contrasted with fatigue, pressure, loneliness – and an iPad that dictates every next step. Offering an intimate portrait of the 27-year-old Yuja, this film accompanies her search for belonging, for her mission, and for who she is as a musician.
