Claudio Abbado – "Please call me Claudio…"

Released in January 2024 to mark the 10th anniversary of Claudio Abbado’s death, this film by Beatrix Conrad reflects on the conductor’s remarkable career, which saw him hold some of the most prestigious posts in the classical music world and establish a host of new orchestras. Using interviews with musicians who worked with him, it brings us closer to Abbado the man and musician, as well as exploring how his work and legacy continue to resonate with a new generation of performers.
