From a 2020 concert at the Philharmonie de Paris, friends and fellow virtuosos Yuja Wang and Gautier Capuçon perform works for cello and piano by Frédéric Chopin. The composer's late Cello Sonata and his early Introduction and Polonaise brillante, Op. 3 count among only a small number of works he produced that weren't for solo piano, but nevertheless feature virtuosic piano writing, while Chopin's remarkable gift for melody finds an ideal outlet in the cello.
