Opéra de Paris
90 Min
From the Opéra National de Paris, star tenor Benjamin Bernheim – fresh from his triumph singing in the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics – presents a recital of repertoire featured on his new Deutsche Grammophon album, “Douce France”. Accompanied by Carrie-Ann Matheson, he performs piano versions of two great works better known in their orchestral guise Berlioz’s enchanting Les Nuits d’été and Chausson’s seductive Poème de l’amour et de la mer – alongside four voluptuous songs by Henri Duparc. All in all, it promises to be a treat for song-lovers and a compelling showcase for Bernheim’s impeccable artistry.
