The musical stars align to celebrate Tanglewood's 75th Anniversary in a concert featuring some of the festival's most distinguished regular guests. The Tanglewood Music Centre Orchestra is in attendance alongside the Boston Symphony and Boston Pops orchestras, with John Williams, Keith Lockhart and Andris Nelsons conducting, while soloists include Anne-Sophie Mutter, Yo-Yo Ma, Emanuel Ax and Peter Serkin – as well as vocalist James Taylor. The programme mixes concert favourites, extracts from the American Songbook and music by two composers, Aaron Copland and Leonard Bernstein, who played a central role in Tanglewood's early history.
