Anne-Sophie Mutter & the Berliner Philharmoniker

Concert

Gala from Berlin 2015

Production Date: 31/12/2015
90 Min

For the 2015 Gala Concert, the Berliner Philharmoniker and Simon Rattle invite violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter as a soloist, who made her debut with the orchestra as a 13-year-old when she was discovered by Herbert von Karajan. Now the recipient of numerous international prizes, the violinist thrills the audience in this concert with Camille Saint-Saëns' fast-paced Introduction et Rondo capriccioso, as well as with Maurice Ravel's Rhapsodie Tzigane. The latter is popular with performers and audiences alike for its folkloric character and at the same time for its refined virtuosity. The Philharmonic presents suites for ballet and opera, before culminating in Ravel's La Valse.
