Nicolas Economou and Chick Corea: two pianist-composers in a class of their own, united in the summer of 1982 for an evening of irrepressible music making at the Amerikahaus, Munich. Economou plays his own delightful Etudes for Children and Corea performs a selection from his Children's Songs before these two kindred spirits come together in Corea's Duet for Two Pianos. An exuberant, sophisticated outpouring of creativity, virtuosity and wit from a pair of pianists who were never happier than when crossing between musical worlds. And a life-affirming memorial to two much-missed artists – particularly Economou, who died in 1993 at the age of 40.
