Economou plays Schumann: Kreisleriana, Papillons & Arabeske

"I am overflowing with music…" Schumann's Kreisleriana dives into the mind of an imaginary genius: a composer so sensitive that his whole world is made up of music. Poetic, playful, and sometimes outrageous, Kreisleriana forms the centrepiece of this rare recorded recital from Nicolas Economou, the dazzling Greek Cypriot pianist who astonished the world at the 1969 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow and died, tragically young, at the age of 40.
