In this atmospheric filmed version, the distinguished tenor Francisco Araiza and his regular collaborator pianist Jean Lemaire perform in the Alte Pfarr, an isolated medieval chapel set amid the rolling hills and forests of Southern Germany – a landscape still deeply evocative of the scenery that inspired Schubert and his poets.
