About
Munich Klaviersommer

The Munich Klaviersommer was founded in 1983 by Friedrich Gulda with the express aim of bringing the worlds of classical music and jazz together in the name of mutual enrichment. With concerts taking place at a variety of venues around the Bavarian capital, the festival – which ran until 2006 – invited musicians to perform from across the musical spectrum, staging several now legendary solo and joint concerts with artists including Chick Corea, McCoy Tyner, Martha Argerich, Nicolas Economou, Nelson Freire, Gulda himself and many more.
